Over the years, they became a type of family heirloom that we cherished and valued.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI leapt at the opportunity to paint them and have made several cards and a calendar from the photographic references I took over several months. We know each one of them has a story, but most of those tales are lost to time's impact on memory. It was important to me to visually express the delicacy, beauty, and meaning we have imbued on these simple items we love so much.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis teacup is apparently similar to the Lomonosov tea set, which is quite coveted. It may appeal to tea drinkers who know about it. But even so, it speaks to quiet regal sophistication, books, and elegance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe tan paper texture under the illustration wraps around the card's spine and disappears as it approaches the back edge. This 5\"x7\" card is blank inside, \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eand comes with a white envelope.
