A Fourth Raven

Ravens are incredibly popular here in Humboldt County. I've mentioned before that everyone has a raven or a crow story, and that the birds are incredibly smart. 

I have started to create another three sets of ravens so I can make a six-card variety pack.  I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. 

I pushed a lot of blue and brown in this image to make the blacks feel more dimensional. And I think the gradient background rotating through three different colors is really quite interesting. It's a lighter, less "haunting" image, and I think I needed one of those after the dark and gothic purple raven I created last.

This bird is available as a greeting card and as a limited edition, signed and numbered giclée print.
