I have had a connection to Little Red Riding Hood for a very long time. It is my go-to folktale, and I have even started developing variations of the story of my own. I have used it as inspiration for many illustrations, and I find that I enjoy exploring it from different angles and creating my own "fan-fiction" stories immensely fun!

Below you'll find all kinds of images inspired by the tale, and even some illustrations of my own variant of the classic story mixed in. You may recognize some of the characters (Little Red, the Wolf, her mother and grandmother) but they're seen in different contexts outside of the main scope of the story. Some characters you may not recognize at all (Red's father and his coworker, two young brothers who accompany Little Red in the story variant I'm writing). But I invite you to imagine what the world around Little Red Riding Hood might be like, and enjoy letting your imagination explore the possibilities.
