      I was raised in southwest Iowa and mid-Missouri, deep in the corn belt. Both sides of my family were farmers, and I grew up around corn bins and harvesters. My grandfather on my dad's side grew sweetcorn, and it became a family staple. One of my uncles has the family record of eating 38 ears of sweetcorn in one setting. And my grandfather's casket spray was field corn and sunflowers.

      Corn means a lot in my family. I suspect it means a lot in other families, too.

      So this card is meant for those folks. This irreverent sassy joke might not make sense to a lot of people, but it would to those who grew up amongst the tall stalks and tassels of fields of this staple of crops.

      This 5"x7" greeting card features a delicious ear of bright yellow corn on an blue textured background. Text says "Corn Porn". 

      The card's background texture spread across the spine of the card to the back and comes with a white envelope. It is printed individually by the artist in the studio and is packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with a resealable adhesive flap closure.

      Beautiful Hand-Drawn Images

      This greeting card set is illustrated digitally by me, Corey Johnston, in Procreate on my 12” iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. Each card is rendered painstakingly one stroke at a time with no filters or AI involved. Using licensed reference imagery from Unsplash.com, I redraw each image with the lighting and colors I want for the overall impression of its intended use as a greeting card.

      I then print each card set as it’s ordered, in my studio on a Pixma Pro 200 8-color dye-based printer. I package each set up and mail it out myself.

        The card is packaged in a clear plastic sealed envelope with a cardboard packing insert to keep it flat and crisp, and mailed in a cardboard mailer.

        Each card is printed in-studio individually using an 8-color dye-based ink printer on 80lb/215gsm professional matte double-sided photo paper.
