This Marsh Wren was inspired by the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Refuge, a cutting-edge water recycling effort in Arcata, CA. It is a lovely area, with lots of walking trails and a lush wetland feel full of blackberry bushes and cattails. Many birdwatchers go there to listen and enjoy the native habitat of hundreds of birds. It's a gorgeous space in its own way.

This card is great for lovers of wetlands and marshes, as well as songbirds and bird watchers. Because it's blank inside, it can be used for any number of occasions, or just to simply say hello and brighten a friend's day!

The pale blue and green of the background texture wrap around the spine of the card to elegantly extend the image. 

This 5"x7" card comes with a white envelope. It is printed individually by the artist in the studio and is packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with a resealable adhesive flap closure.

Beautiful Hand-Drawn Images

This greeting card set is illustrated digitally by me, Corey Johnston, in Procreate on my 12” iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. Each card is rendered painstakingly one stroke at a time with no filters or AI involved. Using licensed reference imagery from Unsplash.com, I redraw each image with the lighting and colors I want for the overall impression of its intended use as a greeting card.

I then print each card set as it’s ordered, in my studio on a Pixma Pro 200 8-color dye-based printer. I package each set up and mail it out myself.

    This is a handmade greeting card that measures 5x7 inches in size. A matching envelope is included.

    The card is packaged in a clear plastic sealed envelope with a cardboard packing insert to keep it flat and crisp, and mailed in a cardboard mailer.

    Each card is printed in-studio individually using an 8-color dye-based ink printer on 80lb/215gsm professional matte double-sided photo paper.
